Simplified Guide for Visiting Maha Kumbh Mela and Taking a Holy Dip

  1. Vehicle Restrictions on Major Snan Dates:
    • Vehicles are not allowed inside the Mela area.
    • Park your private vehicle at designated parking zones outside.
    • If arriving by train, air, or public transport, proceed to the nearest entry point for your zone.
  2. Multiple Snan Ghats in Each Zone:
    • Each zone has multiple snan ghats available for pilgrims.
    • It’s advisable to take a holy dip at the nearest ghat in your zone to save time and avoid congestion.
    • Ask volunteers or police staff for directions to the closest snan ghat.
  3. Route and Parking Recommendations:
    • From Varanasi Route:
      • Stop before crossing the Shashtri/Jhusi Bridge and park at the nearest lot.
      • Enter the Mela and head to Sector 19/Sector20.
      • Use Pontoon Bridges 7, 8, 9, or 10 to access Sangam Snan Ghat.
    • From Naini (Arail Side):
      • Stop before crossing the Naini Bridge and park at the nearest lot.
      • Park near Shivalaya Park.
      • Options for Snan:
        • Arail Ghat: Conveniently located nearby.
        • Sangam Snan Ghat: Use Pontoon Bridge Chakra Madhav (26), turn left after crossing, and proceed via Akshayavat Bridge. Police staff can assist if needed.
    • From Main City (Civil Lines/Phaphamau/Prayagraj Railway Station):
      • Reach Chungi and enter the Mela via Kachhwap Dwar.
      • Follow the direction boards to Sangam Snan Ghat.
  4. Helpful Tips:
    • Use official signboards and ask for guidance from volunteers or police.
    • Plan your journey early to avoid crowds and long walks.
    • Prioritize safety and follow the directions of Mela authorities.
